Domaine Lavantureux

Located on the highest slopes of Chablis, Lavantureux Freres represents the new guard of Chablis. Founded in 2010 on an old vine (60 years old) vineyard, the two brothers (David & Arnaut), have shaken up Chablis with a philosophy of making all of their wines in 225 Litre Barriques – counter to the dominant Chablis style of tank fermented and matured. This style works brilliantly for their unique plot of stony soils, and a rich, textural style of Chardonnay wines, while retaining the acids and freshness for which Chablis is renowned.
