Eleven generations that have felt and feel with passion the world of wine.

– CHIVITE FAMILY ESTATE

Chivite

The Duero is a unique wine growing region. With high altitudes, a cool climate and virtually no rain, the Duero is the home of the great Vega Sicilia. With over 2,000 years of regional wine production, monasteries, castles, churches, cathedrals and fortresses, the Durro is almost entirely a region of red wines. Founded in 1647, Chivite is the wine-making family with the longest history in Spain. Eleven generations of Chivites have now passed on the baton to maintain the tradition. Based in a subregion known as“Paraje de Los Lobos” (the Region of Wolves), these wines tell a story of a dry, ancient region that is hard to travel, hard to farm and produces wines where you can sense the work, and human effort involved in making every wine.
